MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION AND

OBJECTIVES OF THE EMERALD SOCIETY

Regular - Sworn peace officer, law enforcement officer or criminal investigator, whether active or retired, of Irish heritage.

Associate - Any person sponsored by a member of this Emerald Society who is in good standing. Associate members cannot vote in Society elections.

OBJECTIVES

To develop a spirit of

brotherhood and fellowship among its members.

To encourage greater

participation in the activities of

organizations existing within the law

enforcement community.

To encourage members to fully

familiarize themselves with the

prescribed, authorized and accepted

practices and procedures of law

enforcement and forensic procedures so

that they will be able to serve their

constituents in a more courteous,

intelligent and efficient manner.

To engender exemplary conduct

on the part of its members, thereby

creating respect and goodwill toward

law enforcement personnel.

To uphold and defend the

Constitution of the United States and of

the State of California at all times.

To instill and preserve in its

members the heritage of their Gaelic

culture.

To award scholarships annually

to children of members of this Society.
