Cisco Router (port number 1)
After you have connected to one of the modems in the modem
banks your information passes through a router. The router sends your information to
the proper location on the Internet. This graph shows the utilization of our Grapevine
router.
|
T1 Port Throughput
From the router all traffic heading out to the Intenet must
pass through our digital lines. The information is first conditioned for transmit by a
CSU/DSU (basically a high speed digital modem) before it is sent through the T1.
This graph shows throughput on our T1.

That about wraps up the communications on this end. The
information passes through routers and T1s on the Internet until it reaches its
destination.

Mail Server
The mail server holds and transfers your mail, you probably
know it as pop3.thevine.net. But this not all it does, it also backsup the web
server, monitors all the systems at Grapevine, and is a DNS server.

Auxilary Server
This is the Grapevine Auxilary server. This server performs redundant functions and miscellaneous tasks.
