Installing Free Agent News Reader

- Download FreeAgent from here. When the download window save the file to your Desktop or if you are using Internet Explorer select "Run this program from it's current location."

- If you get a "Security Warning" window click the "Yes" button (it's OK we have already scanned the software for viruses.).

-The installation portion has started.
-Welcome: Select if it is an upgrade or new installation (if you are not sure, select new installation.) Click "Next>"
-Select Destination Folder: Don't change anything here unless absolutly necessary (if you are not sure, do not change anything.) Click "Next>"
-Create Shortcut: Click "Next>"
-Select Start Menu Folder: Click "Next>"
-Ready To Install!!: Click "Start>"

-Now the software licence agreement screen will appear.
Click on the Accept button. |

-Here's the important part. You need to setup the program so that you
can access our news server.
Use the following settings:
News Server: news.thevine.net
Mail Server: mail.thevine.net
E-mail: you@thevine.net
Full Name: your name
-Press the OK button |

- The software will ask you if you would like to go online and get
a list of the news groups available to you. Choose Yes.
- Now, the program will retreive a list of all the news groups on the
server. This usually takes awhile, since there are thousands of different
groups, so be patient. |
