The Grapevine WorldGroup community software The Grapevine WorldGroup community software gives you access to our local BBS server. This server has a number of local (Grapevine only Members) games and chat rooms. The games include, Chess, Backgammon, Checkers, Crosswordz (Scrabble knockoff), numerous MUDs (Multi User Dungeon text based games) that you play against other Grapevine members.Installing the WorldGroup software: - Download WorldGroup from here. When the download window save the file to your Desktop or if you are using Internet Explorer select "Run this program from it's current location." - If you get a "Security Warning" window click the "Yes" button (it's OK we have already scanned the software for viruses.). - Where do you wish to install. Click OK. - WorldGroup Plugin Installation. Click OK. - WorldGroup Plugin Installation. Click OK. - WorldGroup Plugin Installation (Second Window). This is no longer used, just click the All Done button. The software will require that you reboot your computer for all the settings to take place. Installation is complete now you can start WorldGroup: - Make sure you are dialed into the Internet first. Connect as you normally do. - Select Start/Programs/WorldGroup Manager/WorldGroup Manager. (you can avoid this in the future by placing a shortcut to WorldGroup on your desktop.) - After WorldGroup loads double click on the Grapevine Games icon to log on. If this is your first time logging on it will download some more of the application. - When you log on use your Log ID and Password you use for Dialup Access. If that does not work contact us (661) 260-2882 or by email Staff@thevine.net so that we can activate your access to the WorldGroup Server. |
