Configuring mIRC 
     
  - After installing the software, click on Advanced Internet from our Main System Menu 
 
  - Then click on the mIRC button to start the program.. 
 
   
-The first thing to pop up will be the About IRC window. Simply close this to continue. (To prevent this window from appearing in the future, make sure the check box in the lower right hand corner is not checked).
 		  
   

 
-In the mIRC Setup window select the IRC Servers tab and type in your Real Name, E-mail address, Nick Name and an Alternate Nick Name. 
 
 
 
   
 
 
 
 

-Now select the Local Info tab in the in the mIRC Setup window and enter "telnet.thevine.net" for the Local Host and 209.221.209.3 for the IP Address. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

- No go back to the IRC Servers tab and select a server by double clicking on it. We recommend DALnet: groucho.dal.net (USA). 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
-In the status window you will see some text scroll by when you have logged on and the mIRC Channels Folder window will pop up. 
Close this window. 
 

- Then click on the list channels button at the top of the screen. It should be sixth from the left. 

 
- The list channels window will come up. Enter a topic you would like to chat about in the "Match Text" field. We chose Hawaii. Then click on the "Get List" button.
 
 
   
-The next thing to pop up will be the list of IRC channels that relate to the topic you chose: 
 
-Double click on one of the channels to join that topic. Have fun!
