Adding the TCP/IP protocol

Windows '95 needs the TCP/IP protocol installed so that it can communicate on the Internet.
     
  Adding the TCP/IP protocol  
 

- Click on the add button.

  
  Network Window.  
     
  - Double click on "Protocol" from the network component list.  
     
  Network Component window.  
     
  - Click on "Microsoft" from the Manufacturers list and then double click on "TCP/IP" from the network protocol list.  
     
  Network Protocol window.  
     
  - Windows '95 may ask for you to put the installation disk/CD in your computer so that can read files for installation.  
     
  - Select "Yes" when Windows '95 asks you to restart your computer. You will be disconnected from Grapevine when your system is shut down so you will have to log back on after your computer start back up.  
     
  - Now go to Making sure Dial-Up Networking is Installed.
