EMBEDDED SYSTEM DESIGN
1. SCSI TO ETHERNET CONVERTER

Developed hardware and software to adapt SCSI interface devices to an Ethernet Interface.Driver software on host computers permitted sharing SCSI devices (printer and scanner) over the Ethernet interface.

2. BLACK AND WHITE THERMAL PRINTER

Developed electronics for high speed black and white thermal printer. Designed real time embedded microprocessor hardware and software. Printer contained multi hardware interface and multi software protocols. Hardware interfaces consisted of serial (RS-232C, RS-422, MIL-STD-188C, MIL-STD-188/114, Ethernet), and parallel (Centronics, MIL-STD-1397 NTDS). Software protocols consisted of ASCII, IBM-emulation, and Postscript.

3. COLOR WAX TRANSFER PRINTER

Developed electronics for high speed color wax transfer printer. Designed real time embedded microprocessor hardware and software. Printer printed in three passes superimposing yellow, cyan, and magenta bitmaps. Interfaces were designed on PC-AT type bus.

4.MULTI PROTOCOL CONVERTER

Developed hardware and software for a Group 3 FAX machine to SECTEL SECURE Digital telephone. Converter handled CCITT Group 3 and MIL-STD Facsimile protocols.

5.BLACK AND WHITE AIRLINE PRINTER

Designed electronics for a rugged airline printer. Printer interfaced to ARINC 597 data bus on commercial aircraft.

6.GRAY SCALE BLACK AND WHITE PRINTER

Designed plug in PAL interface to thermal printhead. Implemented a gray scale print algorithm in Programmable Array Logic.
